Chateau Giraud is a first class Sauternes produced by Chateau Giraud, located in Sauternes, Bordeaux, France. Generally, fermentation takes 3 weeks to 2 months in oak barrels, and ripening takes 18 to 24 months.
Giro since 1983 has undergone a remarkable evolution, thanks to the use of techniques such as selecting the grapes, barrel fermentation and long-term aging in new barrels, like Chateau Dichem. Guillot has a high proportion of Sauvignon Blanc (35%) as wine in this area, but it produces a very rich wine.
