Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico Bertani is the masterpiece of Bertani Amarone.
The first vintage was built in 1959, and was completed after “long shade drying”, “slow alcohol fermentation”, and “minimum 6-year barrel aging”.
It is built from Rondinella and Corvina Veronese harvested at the “Villa Novale” plantation in Negrar in the Classico district, which Bertani defines as “the iconic Classico of Amarone”. Only the carefully selected bunches are dried in the shade for about 120 days. During the shade drying process, the sugar content is condensed and the grapes are given a unique flavor and thickness, and they are carefully managed on a daily basis. Then, in mid-January of the year following harvest, debarking and pressing are performed, and fermentation is slowly performed for about 50 days. This laid-back time enhances the alcohol content and gives the wine an elegant aroma. It is then placed in a Slavonian oak barrel for 6 years and then bottle-aged for at least 1 year before being released.
It goes very well with a variety of meat dishes.
Deep dark garnet color
Cherry scent unique to Amarone. And a rich scent of bitter almonds, walnuts, strawberries, roses, etc.
A solid taste brewed from long aging, dried fruits, tea leaves, licorice, nuances of various spices, complex and rich fruit flavors overflow once you drink, rich tannins and pleasant acids in harmony Delicious taste. I feel the sweetness like vanilla.
