Elegant dry sparkling made by the same in-bottle secondary fermentation method as champagne.
The fragrant aromas of pears, white flowers, apple honey and brioche, along with beautiful acids and minerals, add finesse to the wine as a whole.
It is a highly complete bottle with an excellent balance of fruitiness and maturity that is typical of Chardonnay.
The word “MERRET” on the label pays homage to the Englishman Christopher Merett, who is said to have made sparkling wine by the “traditional method” 30 years before Don Perignon of Champagne.
