Château Troncois Lalande is a wine produced by the Martin & Olivier Bouygue brothers, owners of the second-class Château Monrose with a Medoc rating.
One of the oldest and most historic chateaus in the village of Saint-Estèphe, it looks like a French monastery. The name of the owner who set up the winery in the first generation has been taken over as the chateau name.
Its history goes back to the 18th century and many ownership changes have taken place, but quality improvements began to be appreciated around 2006, when it came under Monrose’s control.
The latest brewing facilities have been put in place, and large-scale restoration of the chateau modernization and review of brewing methods have been carried out.
For brewing, we have welcomed former president Elve Berlan, who has worked for Mouton Rothschild for many years, and we are seeing further changes in quality.
Château Troncois Lalande has been declining in popularity and quality, but it has made a wonderful comeback and is now highly regarded by experts as “a wine that combines the elements of a great wine”.
