Château Cantomerle, a prestigious Médoc 5th grade.
Originally built as a fortress to protect the riverbank, there are records that viticulture began in 1354.
According to past literature, the vineyards are so blessed that there were times when the damage to Philoxera was very low and it was considered more valuable than the first-class wine Lafitte.
Cantomerle has a peaceful meaning of “singing thrush”, and is a chateau in a large garden with a long history that deserves its name. It is said to have an emotional atmosphere, as if it were in a fairy tale.
With the establishment of the Medoc rating in 1855, the grade was raised to 5th grade, but if the rating is to be reviewed, it is said that the wine should be upgraded to 3rd grade, and over the years it has become a chateau with high ability. I have attached.
The brewery and cellar were renewed in 1981, maintaining stable quality under strict brewing control. It has come to be highly evaluated every year.
It is said that the wine has an elegant style after long-term bottle aging, but on the other hand, even if you drink it relatively early, you can enjoy it as a charming and attractive wine.
